Founders and organisers of the Stockport Business Awards, Clarke Nicklin, are once again on the hunt for a charity partner for the 2020 event. Entries are now open for charities to apply for the opportunity to partner up with the awards and benefit from all fundraising activities and proceeds from the evening. The chosen charity will get links and branding on the Stockport Business Awards website, PR coverage before and after the awards, promotion in the awards brochure, the opportunity to make a short speech on the night, and to form new relationships with local businesses in the area.
The Stockport Business Awards has been an iconic event within the business community of Stockport since 2012. Last Year’s chosen charity partner, Supportability, raised nearly £5000 on the evening. Becky Shorrock, Head of Fundraising at Supportability gave a compelling speech about the important work they do to improve the lives of those with complex disabilities in and around Stockport. Becky said “We’re delighted to announce that we raised £4,700 on the night! We’re absolutely overwhelmed by the support from the guests.”
Managing Partner, Andrew Baggott of Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, said: “We are delighted to have supported so many amazing charities over the past eight years and see the benefits of the events fundraising. It’s a fantastic chance for charity organisations to raise their profile in Stockport and benefit from such a generous community”
