On Tuesday 26th March, the founders, organisers, and main sponsor CN Chartered Accountants held the official launch of the 2024 Stockport Business Awards. The event was held at CN’s head office, in Cheadle Royal Business Park. Guests had the opportunity to network with people within Stockport’s business community and hear all about what to expect for this year’s event.

Founder of the awards, Andrew Baggot, from CN, presented updates on what to expect this year.

This year’s categories were also announced with entries opening on the 10th of April!

The last announcement of the evening was this year’s Charity Partner. Mentell was named as the 2024 Charity on the evening, with Chair, Alanna Atkinson commenting:

Founders, organisers and headline sponsors of the Stockport Business Awards, CN Chartered Accountants, are once again on the hunt for a charity partner for the 2024 event.

Entries are now open for charities to apply for the opportunity to partner up with the awards and benefit from all fundraising activities and proceeds from the evening. The chosen charity will get links and branding on the Stockport Business Awards website, PR coverage before and after the awards, promotion in the awards brochure, and the opportunity to form new relationships with local businesses in the area.

The Stockport Business Awards has been an iconic event within the business community of Stockport for over 10 years. Last Year’s chosen charity was EGG, Engage. Grow. Go.  who raised over £3,400 on the evening.

Founder of EGG, Jonathan Billings commented, “EGG is a relatively new Charity focusing on supporting people with experience of homelessness into housing and employment. It was an honour to have been the chosen Charity for The Stockport Business Awards in 2023 and the promotion of our charity on the night and the money raised has helped us so much, I’d recommend using the awards to raise money and boost your charity’s visibility. The Stockport Business Awards, which is now in its 13^th year was set up by CN Chartered Accountants back in 2012 to recognize and reward businesses within the borough. Not only has the event seen introductions and strong alliances being built, but the awards have also supported over 10 charities and raised over £40K.
