by

This year’s Stockport Business Awards, organised by Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, partnered with Stockport Based charity Supportability to raise funds on the evening. Recently re branded from Stockport CP Society, Supportability’s ethos, core values and offerings remained the same – making life better for people with disabilities.

Since 1953, they have been supporting children, young people and adults with a wide range of physical and learning disabilities, with aim to enable those children, young people and adults live as fulfilled and independent life as possible.

The Stockport Business Community donated some fantastic prizes for this year’s charity raffle, including a star prize which was a 4 star holiday to Budapest donated by Paradise Isle Holidays resulting in the charity raising just over £4700 on the night.

Becky Shorrock, Head of Fundraising gave a compelling speech about Supportability and the important work they do to improve the lives of those with complex disabilities in and around Stockport. Becky said “We’re delighted to announce that we raised £4,700 on the night! We’re absolutely overwhelmed by the support from the guests.”
