On Thursday evening, organisers and main sponsors Clarke Nicklin, held an event to officially launch the 2023 Stockport Business Awards. The event was held at The Light Cinema, where over 80 people were in attendance. Guests had the opportunity to network with people within Stockport’s business community and hear all about what to expect for this year’s event.
Head of marketing and business development, Laura Frost, from Clarke Nicklin, presented updates of what to expect this year. The key announcements included the new look for this year’s Awards. The design agency behind the new branding is category sponsors Dawn. Dawn will be working on all the design elements for the second year running.
This year’s categories were also announced:

- Best Inhouse Marketing Team/Individual of the Year – NEW FOR 2023

- The Innovation Award
- The Taste of Stockport Award
- The Stockport Award
This years sponsors were also announced, with continued support form headline sponsors Gorvins Solicitors and category sponsors, Dawn, Marketing Stockport, Stockport Council and Stockport Economic Alliance, Clarke Nicklin Financial Planners, Sage, Edgeley Park. New sponsors for 2023 include Grassroots Recruitment and Stockport College.
The last announcement of the evening was this year’s Charity Partner, EGG. EGG- Engage, Grow, Go is a Stockport-based homeless charity, offering support throughout the North West, they look at the long-term solution, helping people off the streets, into their own homes and into work or self-employment.
