Guests will have the opportunity to network with people within Stockport’s business community and hear all about what to expect for this year’s event. It’s great for those who haven’t entered the awards before to understand the categories they can enter and find out more about the process of entering.

The launch event will take place at a venue in Stockport on Thursday the 26th of March with things getting underway at 6PM. Attendees will get the chance to ask us any questions and we will also reveal this year’s Charity partner!

The Stockport Business Awards celebration evening will take place on Thursday 8th of October 2026 at a venue in Stockport with entries for the awards opening up on the 27th of March.

The 5^th of October 2023 was the night founders, organisers, and main sponsors CN Chartered Accountants hosted the 2023 Stockport Business Awards held at the prestigious Edgeley Park. The awards evening saw another amazing turnout with over 400 guests in attendance to celebrate the success and achievements of the region’s finest businesses. EGG were this year’s charity partner and over £3400 was raised at the awards.

TV and radio presenter, Jenny Powell, hosted the awards for the seventh consecutive year and did a fabulous job of keeping the enthusiastic crowd engaged for those all-important moments.

Main sponsors and organisers, CN Chartered Accountants, have announced the shortlist for the 2023 Stockport Business Awards. Over 100 entries across the 13 categories were received for this year’s

awards, and the judging took place on Wednesday 5^th July. The judging panel consisted of representatives from  organisers CN Chartered Accountants, Headline sponsors Gorvins Solicitors, Stockport Borough Council, CEO, Caroline Simpson, representatives from the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and representatives from Key partner, Dawn, were also on the panel. After many hours of discussion and debate the shortlist was agreed.

 

Andrew Baggott, Managing partner of CN Chartered Accountants, commented “Judging day is always challenging, so many admirable business enter each year and it never gets easier choosing the winners. Reading through entries really highlights all the good things that are going on in the borough. On Thursday evening, organisers and main sponsors Clarke Nicklin, held an event to officially launch the 2023 Stockport Business Awards. The event was held at The Light Cinema, where over 80 people were in attendance. Guests had the opportunity to network with people within Stockport’s business community and hear all about what to expect for this year’s event.

 

Head of marketing and business development, Laura Frost, from Clarke Nicklin, presented updates of what to expect this year. The key announcements included the new look for this year’s Awards. The design agency behind the new branding is category sponsors Dawn. Dawn will be working on all the design elements for the second year running.
