2022 Charity Applications Now Open

We are once again on the hunt for a charity partner for the 2022 event. Entries are now open for charities to apply for the opportunity to partner up with the awards and benefit from all fundraising activities and proceeds from the evening. The chosen charity will get links and branding on the Stockport Business Awards website, PR coverage before and after the awards, promotion in the awards brochure, the opportunity to make a short speech on the night, and to form new relationships with local businesses in the area.

The Stockport Business Awards has been an iconic event within the business community of Stockport for the past 10 years. Last year’s chosen charity partners Smart Works and Stockport NHS Charity, raised nearly £4000 on the evening. Alison Lever, Trustee at Smart Works commented: “It was a huge honour to be a Charity Partner at the 10th Stockport Business Awards and to have an opportunity to update the local business community on the Smart Works’ support for unemployed women looking for work. We are very grateful for the generosity of everyone attending the awards. We rely on donations and grants to keep the doors of our Stockport Centre open and will be using the funds raised to continue to help more job seekers to “Get the Clothes, Get the Confidence, Get the Job”

Managing Partner, Andrew Baggott of Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, said: “We are delighted to have supported so many amazing charities over the past 10 years and see the benefits of the events fundraising. It’s a fantastic chance for charity organisations to raise their profile in Stockport and benefit from such a generous community”
