Main sponsors and organisers, Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, will host the launch of the 2023 Stockport Business Awards on Thursday 23rd March. This year’s launch party will take place at The Light Cinema in Stockport 6-8pm.

The free event will allow guests to view highlights from last year’s event, an opportunity to find out more about this year’s event, including categories and how to enter and information about this year’s charity partner whilst networking with past winners and Stockport’s thriving business community.

Founders and organisers of the Stockport Business Awards, Clarke Nicklin, are once again on the hunt for a charity partner for the 2023 event. Entries are now open for charities to apply for the opportunity to partner up with the awards and benefit from all fundraising activities and proceeds from the evening. The chosen charity will get links and branding on the Stockport Business Awards website, PR coverage before and after the awards, promotion in the awards brochure, and the opportunity to form new relationships with local businesses in the area.

The Stockport Business Awards has been an iconic event within the business community of Stockport for over 10 years. Last Year’s chosen charity was Seashell Trust who raised over £4000 on the evening.

Organisers and main sponsors, Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, can now reveal the Stockport Business Awards 2023 will take place on Thursday 5^th October. The yearly event will once again take place at the 1883 suite at Edgeley Park.

This Stockport Business Awards, which is now in its 12^th year was set up by Clarke Nicklin back in 2012 to recognize and reward businesses within the borough. Not only has the event seen introductions and strong alliances been built, the awards has also supported over 10 charities and raised over £40K.

Entries for this years awards will be opening early April and businesses will be able to enter through the Stockport Business Awards website. Entries are free and businesses can enter as many categories as they would like.

Founders and organisers, Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, are delighted to announce that due to the generous donations from attendees at the Stockport Business Awards on the 06 October 2022, this year’s charity partners, Seashell Trust, were able to take home over £4000.

Seashell trust didn’t leave a dry eye in the building after showing an emotional video of one of their service users and the journey she had been on over 20 years of seashell support. Seashell Trust is a national learning disability charity and supports children and young people with complex and profound learning difficulties, disabilities, and additional communication needs from across the UK. They provide education, care, and support for people aged from 2 to 25 years at their outstanding school and college, their residential homes, and a host of sport camps and training programmes for families; all from their 30-acre site in Cheadle Hulme.

Last night Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants hosted the 2022 Stockport Business Awards held at the prestigious Edgeley Park. Over 400 guests were in attendance at the black-tie awards dinner to celebrate the success and achievements of the region’s finest. 

TV and radio presenter, Jenny Powell, hosted the awards once again this year and did a fabulous job of keeping the enthusiastic crowd engaged for those all-important moments. Seashell Trust were this year’s Charity Partner and raised over £4000 on the evening.

We are delighted to announce the shortlist for the 2022 Stockport Business Awards. Many Stockport businesses entered the 13 categories this year, and the judging took place on Tuesday 5^th July. The judging panel consisted of headline sponsor representatives from Clarke Nicklin, Gorvins Solicitors and Music Magpie. Representatives from Stockport Borough Council, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Dawn Creative were also on the panel. After many hours of discussion and debate the shortlist was agreed.
