The Stockport Business Awards, organised and founded by Chartered Accountants Clarke Nicklin will once again be sponsored by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and Stockport Economic Alliance. SMBC have the supported the event since the first Awards dinner back in October 2012. Seven years on and SMBC are still supporting the event alongside SEA. This year SMBC and SEA will be joint sponsoring the Innovation Award.
Established in 1999 Stockport Economic Alliance brings together major employers that are committed to growing the local economy, connecting residents and businesses to more opportunities, and providing a supportive environment to start, grow and locate a business. The Alliance delivers a number of business networking events including Meet the Buyer and South Manchester Finance and Professional Network.
The Alliance is supported by Stockport Council’s Growth Team which provides a range of assistance to support businesses including property matching service, sector specific networking opportunities and skills, training & recruitment advice. The Team also provide flexible workspace accommodation with access to dedicated on-site business support at Stockport Business & Innovation Centre.
